Comment: Both pads "burned" on the backside the first time I used them. They are still serviceable, but the "burned" areas are hard. They were used in a normal kitchen--no blow torches.

Comment: I found these and the mitt about 4 years ago.I would never use anything else!!They last forever,are easily cleaned and work great (just make sure you use the side with the writing next to your hand and the rubbery side next to the hot).I'm so excited to see them on Amazon,I'm ordering 4 more!!!
