Comment: This is the worst piece of junk that I have used in years. I work in fine dining and open wine for a living. Laguiole should be embarrassed to be selling such trash.

Summary: Gorgeous, but not the most functional 2007-12-25
Comment: Even as better ways of closing a wine bottle rise to
the top of the bottle, a wine-lover still needs to
pull an occasional cork. This beautiful tool from the
French knifemaker Lagouile is often given as a gift
to those who like to pull a cork or two.
This rubber cushioned, widely used corkscrew is the
easiest, most convenient way to do it. Its grip is
comfortable, the screw penetrates cork easily but it lacks
the all-important two-step lever allows almost
anyone to muscle the cork out of the neck. It
slips easily into a pocket.
