An essential accompaniment to LamsonSharp carving knives, this sturdy carving fork holds meat firmly in place while allowing space for the many angles necessary to carve different cuts of beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. Although rosewood handle is dishwasher-safe, it is best to hand wash fine cutlery like this in warm, soapy water. Oil the handle occasionally with food-grade mineral oil to maintain the traditional luster. Many cooks work freestyle without the benefit of a steadying fork; sadly, these people never know how skillful they would have appeared, carving the Thanksgiving Day turkey year after year with the aid of a good carving fork. --Edward Skoog
