Emblazoned with a sweet butterfly and wildflower motif, this summery dinnerware pattern is versatile enough to serve everyday meals or stand in for special occasion dining. Perfect for an average family, this set packs six 10-3/4-inch dinner plates, six 9-inch salad plates, and six 12-ounce mugs. Made of fine china, the dinnerware has a beautiful reflective quality to its ivory base color yet is surprisingly durable enough to go from the freezer to the oven to the table without damaging and is also safe for the microwave and dishwasher.

Based on designs from Lenox artist Louise de Luyer, Butterfly Meadow's dinnerware set mixes and matches a variety of meadow scenes, each featuring a species of butterfly with a different bloom. Among the pictured butterfly varieties, there are colorful Swallowtails, Monarchs, Eastern-Tailed Blues, Orange Sulphers, and even a dragonfly here and there. Avid gardeners will also be able to spot favorite flowers, which range from morning glories to lilacs to tiger lilies. Each scene is a bit different from the next, adding to the charm of this country-style dinnerware. Graceful scalloped and ridged edges on plates and mugs lend an additional feeling of innocence to this pattern. Comment: These plates are so awesome. Aside from the fact that each plate features a different flower and butterfly, these dishes are elegant, tough, and great for any purpose. We use our dishes daily and even my husband thought they looked great. They are not has thick/heavy as some other dinnerware, but they also do not feel fragile, like I thought they would. I wash mine in the dishwasher and they clean well. A splendid set for a great price. Trust me, I looked all around and THANK GOD I searched on amazon because I was ready to buy this set for almost $312 from Macys. Amazon is also slightly cheaper than ebay! What a deal. This plates are great for just special occasion use or everyday. They are bright, fun, and extremely elegant.

Comment: I bought this set for my everyday dishes a year ago and I still enjoy them. I love the plates because they are all different patterns with different flowers and butterflies. I especially like the size and shape of the rice bowls. They have one little bee on the inside of the bowl. The are great for everything from cereal to ice cream. The pasta bowls are terrific, too! I couldn't be happier with my set.

Comment: I love these dishes and mugs, they're so pretty. I use them all of the time, and they're perfect for when I have guests over. The dinner plates are quite large, larger than other standard ones I have, so are the salad plates.
