Comment: This brush cleans just about anything but try to keep it from soaking in water to prevent the craking and drying of the wood.

Summary: A great kitchen helper gadget! 2008-05-04
Comment: I do cook and bake with cast iron and sometimes food does stick and requires some extra effort to scrub off. This little scrubber brush is a great help. Treat it kindly-don't put in the dishwasher or let soak a long time in soapy water and it will hold up well.

Comment: I have used cast iron cookware in the past, but I've always had trouble washing it afterward. So many foods will leave a mess behind, and the last thing you want to do is to use a scouring pad: the non-stick qualities of your seasoned pan would be ruined. I'd used a nylon brush I purchased from a local store, and it didn't work very well. Not only was it hard to hold, the bristles weren't very rigid. This Lodge scrubber brush is ideal for cleaning cast iron. It is easy to hold (I have mild arthritis, and it doesn't cause problems for me), and it works great. My cast iron pans see a lot more use now just because of this great product. I highly recommend it!

Comment: There is not a lot to say. These are very nice brushes. They are well contructed, and they do an excellent job cleaning my cast iron pan. We need to replace them about once a year, but they are inexpensive, and well worth it.

Comment: Talking about the Lodge Cast Iron Scrubber Brush, of course. For some stuff that cakes onto my new skillet, I could use a brush with stiffer bristles. I end up using my fingernails.
