Product Description
The large bowl of the Esperienze all-purpose glass (shown far left) is designed to enhance a variety of wines. The ripples at the bottom of this stemware allow for rapid oxygenation of wine, which provides a greater aroma and a more pronounced flavor. Made of a special lead-free crystal that is more durable but retains the delicate balance and provides an exquisite wine tasting experience. Amazon.com
Inspired by the ripples created by a single raindrop on water, renowned Venetian glass designer Frederico DeMajo crafted a new way for wine enthusiasts to enjoy their favorite vintages. A member of the innovative Esperienze collection, this set of four 21-ounce all-purpose glasses compliments a range of wines with wide, rounded sides and wavy bottom contours that encourage the wine to "breathe," or oxygenate, quickly for the best bouquet and flavor. Poised on an elongated, round stem and generous base, the result is a graceful and refined silhouette appropriate for both daily and formal dining. Esperienze stemware is blown from pure lead-free crystal for traditional quality, flawless clarity, and reassuring weight. This handsome set goes safely into the dishwasher between uses. It is made in Italy and comes packaged in an attractive gift box. --Kara Karll

Summary: Outstanding 2008-08-24
Comment: These are the finest wine glasses I have ever owned. The price and quality are far superior to the others I've shopped for, couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Summary: try it, you'll like it 2008-05-04
Comment: We read about these glasses and had to try them. They truly bring out a red wine...and how can you beat the price? We have had blind wine tastings to compare these glasses with other red wine glasses and everyone agreed...they are terrific. We have converted many of our wine maven friends.

Summary: Split Vote! 2008-04-18
Comment: Admittedly I don't know much about wine or wine glasses other than what i've used in nice restaurants. This set looks exactly like the picture and that is great. The only problem I see with them is their weight. I'm not sure if wine glasses are suppose to be this light but i've never held glasses with such little weight. Seriously the box weighs more than the glasses do. This is a problem for me because they seem so ridiculously light that I actually had to check if they were made of plastic. Anyways thats why I gave 3 stars (as a undecided gesture).

Summary: Question: what symbol on the foot? 2007-08-29
Comment: My wife and I experienced these glasses in Italy, and were blown away. We're insufferable Riedel snobs, and were so impressed with these that we need to get some!
One strange question to anyone out there who bought these: what logo is on the foot of the glass? The glasses we used in Italy had a cursive Z (for Zafferano - the maker of the glasses), but I'm curious if those distributed by Bormioli have something different? Can anyone out there chime in (and give a review, too).
Thanks!

Summary: Worth the money 2007-07-23
Comment: I read several reviews on the web, and found they were right: the same wine tastes surprisingly better in these glasses than our regular wine glasses. I couldn't believe how much it improved the bouquet, and brought out the different layers. I honestly had thought, like several other reviewers, that this would be all hype; now I've ordered several more sets for myself and for gifts. They're nice looking to boot.
