Comment: I love it, the shape is perfect to grab the side of the pots and pans. I baked too, so this silicone holder help alot. very durable and easy to clean.

Summary: I love these! 2008-03-05
Comment: These are PERFECT for grabbing pot handles, as their name suggests. I frequently finish dishes in the oven and the metal handles of my Calphalon cookware get very hot. These are great! They take up virtually no space, so they sit neatly on the top/back of the stove!
I have used them for grasping hot baking pans, cookie sheets (1/4 and 1/2 sized) and oven racks with few problems as the initial reviewer had whilst using them to pick up cookie sheets--it can be a problem when the food is too close to the edge or if your sheets/pans don't have a substantial edge or handles to them. My cookie sheets do have 1" sides, so that particular problem is a non-issue for me. If I cook in casserole type pans without handles, they do not have anything to 'grab' onto, so traditional potholders work better.
The only negative anyone in my home has had is my husband's hands are larger than the pothandle holder, so he can't use them very well.
I recommend them for ANYONE who has pots/pans with handles.

Comment: I agree with the above review....it can be a bit awkward. It depends on the pots and pans that you have. It does work however.

Summary: It's just not 'right'... hard to handle? 2006-08-15
Comment: I purchased this when it was on sale for $4.99. What a waste of $5! I bought it to use with cookie sheets and baking, but I can't get close enough to pick the sheet up without smashing the cookies that are on it! I had to use my good old cloth hotpad to get them out. The item is small, but not small enough I guess??
I did give it 3 stars since, I suppose it would work well with pots and pans on the stove if you needed to grab the handle. This isn't the case with me since the handles on my pots do not become hot.
