Comment: Works Great! Only thing that is missing is a clock and brew timer. If you like having a pot waiting for you when you get up this one won't do it. If I had known it didn't have a clock and timer I would have found one that did. Other than that it's a good coffee maker.

Summary: The smartest purchase, and greatest value! 2008-09-16
Comment: I love my Mr. Coffee coffee and espresso maker. I was daunted by some of the negative reveiws it received, but I went ahead and purchased it anyway, because it was the only one I could afford. What a great machine! It does everything just like it's supposed to; it was so easy, I didn't even have to read the directions. The only thing I couldn't figure out at first was how the milk frother worked. I did not realize, (stupid me!) that of course you have to add MORE WATER THAN YOU NEED for the espresso, so that the EXTRA can be used for steam. Duh!!
I do not have a problem with coffee spilling everywhere, because I raise the lid with my thumb when I pour. And I think that the coffee is hot enough. Of course, I don't like my coffee scalding hot, either.
All in all, if I had it all to do over again, I would have done it sooner, and not spent so much time wondering and worrying about it. It truly is a remarkable machine for the price.

Comment: After reading all of the comments, I purchased this machine and am very happy with it. As others commented, the carafe spout does spill if you don't pour it very slowly. I contacted Mr Coffee about this and they sent me a replacement, with a longer spout that doesn't spill, within 3 days. This is my first time using an espresso machine and I think for the money it does a great job!! Thanks for all of the reviews :)

Comment: Since buying this item about 3 months ago it has worked wonderfully.
Some other buyers have complained how the coffee caraffe splashes and is difficult to pour - I agree; it just takes a little different technique to pour smoothly. Once you master that it's just fine. I like the removable water reservoir. Also some customers complained about the expresso part not heating the coffee hot enough - I haven't had this problem. So far, no problems. If Mr coffee would fix the pour spout I would give this 5 stars. However I am very satisfied with my purchase!
