Customer Rating: Summary: poor performance 2008-07-02 Comment: I was unable to get the salad spinner to spin with salad in the basket. It worked fine empty. I tossed it out and will start using pre-washed lettuce again.

Customer Rating: Summary: Great for sprouts, too 2008-07-01 Comment: I have grown my own sprouts in a big jar with some window screen rubber-banded over it since 1979. They are very easy to grow and incredibly nutritious (much more so than lettuce.) But getting them dried off so they won't mold in storage has always been a hassle until I bought this salad spinner. I dump my sprouts into the spinner and fill it up with water. Then I slosh the sprouts around which causes the seed hulls to float to the top where you can slosh them right on out of the bowl. Lift up the inner bowl, dump the water from the outer bowl, spin the sprouts and they are immediately ready for storage. I don't store them in the spinner, but I suppose I could.

Customer Rating: Summary: Great Salad Spinner! 2008-06-22 Comment: I have needed a solution to wet salad - this is it! I usually forget to wash the salad until right before we eat it & it always ends up wet & soggy. Now the salad gets clean & dry right before we eat it.

Customer Rating: Summary: broke in about 5 seconds 2008-06-18 Comment: Usually, if I say "about 5 seconds," I'm exaggerating, but not this time. It was literally after only a few seconds of use that my salad spinner broke. When I pay over $20 for a bowl, I expect it to last at least minutes. Well the bowl itself and inner colander are okay, so at least I will salvage about $5 of my money's worth. It was the lid that popped and snapped and twisted and all sorts of great things.

Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome! 2008-06-13 Comment: I love this product! It holds a lot of lettuce and does a great job drying. I store my salads in this container and it lasts several days longer . I would highly recommend this product! Well worth the cost.
