- Recommended for regular black, white or mixed blends of peppercorns. Rose or oversized green peppercorns, alone, are not recommended. Ships filled with black peppercorns.
- To refill simply twist and remove the top knob refill and replace knob. Wipe clean with soft, damp cloth

Summary: Great Deal 2008-08-13
Comment: I purchased these after buying a slightly larger one at a brick and mortar store.
The Salt Mill is not especially remarkable. It works well, but it wasn't really special. It does have great heft to it, just right. The matching set looks wonderful together.
The Pepper Mill is brilliant. It cracks well, and you can easily adjust the coarseness of the grind. It, too, has the perfect weight. Both mills are made of wood, and coated with a durable layer of yellow lacquer.
I would happily buy this set again, it would make a great wedding gift.

Summary: Classic French for a pittance 2008-08-08
Comment: This is the third set of s&p mills I've purchased. The price and quality are unbeatable. I travel to Paris once a month and priced this exact set; the best price I could find was 69euros. That's over $100. Peugeot is a very well known name, and the curry color is a beautiful French classic. The working mechanism on the set is very reliable, too. I, honestly, can't say a bad thing about this purchase, and highly recommend it.

Comment: I found these to be exactly as described. They work great, much better than the last ones I purchased which were battery operated.....they only worked for a few days! I do like these, a lot.

Comment: The wood mills are 8-3/4 inches and that includes the metal knob. The base is 2 1/4 inch in diameter. Each mill weighs 11 oz and comes with about a tablespoon of salt/pepper but much more will fit. The metal knobs include a a black "S" or a "P" making it easy to identify the one you want.
The color seems pretty true. I was happy with it.
The paint is glossy and very smooth. (I'll update if it chips)The mills are rather large but fit well in my hand. I like the way the mills grind but I have owned only one other mill so that is not much to judge it against. Over all I am happy with this lightning deal.
