Generously proportioned with a 22-by-11-inch cooking surface, this indoor electric griddle cooks enough pancakes or hamburgers for a large crowd. Similar to Presto's Model 07038 22-Inch Electric Griddle, this model features a smoother, more professional grade nonstick finish. Because food doesn't stick easily, the griddle requires very little grease, thereby producing healthier food. For fattier meats like bacon, a groove along one side channels drips through a small hole into a sturdy plastic container that slides completely out for cleaning. When the griddle's heat control is removed, the unit is fully submersible in warm, soapy water. The 1500-watt griddle plugs into any 120-volt outlet and automatically maintains any temperature setting from warm to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Made of heavy duty cast aluminum that resists warping and distributes heat evenly, the griddle overall measures 27 by 13 by 4-1/2 inches and is covered by a two-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

Summary: I LOVE this griddle! 2008-08-26
Comment: We loved our first griddle like this, we bought a second for our cottage. Food does not stick to the large textured surface. I have even melted cheese directly on the griddle. My first griddle is still working after 5 years, and if either ever fail, I will purchase this griddle again.

Summary: Nice Light Griddle 2008-07-15
Comment: I received this as a Christmas gift. It is very light weight and I love that. I've cooked steaks, ham slices, pancakes, hamburgers, pork chops, eggs, french toast, grilled cheese, etc. on this griddle. Everything has turned out wonderfully. Little, if any, oil is required and the clean-up has been a breeze. I love this thing!

Comment: We bought this as a replacement for a Black and Decker that cooked the heating control contacts. Unfortunately, the B&D appears to be the only low-priced griddle with a warming tray.
This truely is a jumbo griddle - it will not fit inside any of our cupboards, so we are still trying to figure out where to put it. Other than that, it's very nice, so far.

Summary: Uneven heating 2008-05-12
Comment: I purchased this item as a result of the positive ratings on this product. I was very disappointed in the quality in that the cooking surface is very thin and the heating element is a single loop that is attached to the bottom of the surface. This causes the heat to be concentrated primarily in the area of the heating element which results in extremely uneven heating on the cooking surface. I allowed the unit to preheat and when I cooked pancakes there was a dark streak in the area where they were over the heating element. I would not recommend this product.
