Customer Rating: Summary: No on/off switch 2006-09-11 Comment: This unit doesnot have timer at all. It works as expected however there are no on/off switch so you either leave it or take the batery out. Bad design.

Simple controls without extra buttons and options to confuse you in a busy kitchen help this probe thermometer help you! Simply insert the probe into the meat, as per directions, plug the wire into the electronic device and set your desired internal temperature! Leave the probe in the meat and put the electronic portion on the outside.
Roasts are cooked to perfection whether medium rare or well is your preference. Turkey white meat is not dry when you set it to 160F!
Also can be used as a timer! It hangs on anything metal with two strong magnets in the back.
I've cooked two turkeys and several roasts with this item. Everyone raved over my moist delicious turkey and perfectly done roasts! A must have for your kitchen!
