Summary: 6 Slice DeLonghi Convection Toaster Oven 2008-08-05
Comment: This was a gift for a young couple who is enjoying all the many functions. They are baking, fan / baking, broiling, and toasting something at every meal. They laugh about their "quality time" reading directions and cooking new recipes. The defrosting and dehydrating features appeal to me. I wish I had one of my own. It will bake a whole chicken or toast six slices of bread. It is easy to clean and because of its size should conserve energy.

Comment: When reading over the reviews, I was a little worried about ordering this product. However, consumer reports rates these ovens very highly and I knew if I got a good one I would be quite happy. The box arrived in one piece, the oven looked great, all the pans and the book were included. It has worked great and I would recommend anyone take the chance I took. It was well worth it. This is a wonderful buy!

Summary: DeLonghi Convection Oven - AD699S - Electronic controls 2008-04-26
Comment: I purchased my first Delonghi Convection oven 6 slice size when the best and only option was the manual control set knobs . Great little oven. Bought the next model AD699 when it became available - liked it even better with the electronic controls and auto shut-off (timed bake). With a bit of practice, one can cook almost anything to perfection with this oven.
Delonghi (apparently) no longer makes this model (a real shame). I was thrilled to find Amazon sells this wonderful little oven as "refurbished". Though one of the boxes did sustain damage in transit (duly noted by the delivery man), the oven works as expected and there does not seem to be any damage (cosmetic or otherwise).
Perfect (skinless, boneless) chicken breasts
- Remove the oven tray from the oven and cover it with non-stick foil.
- Season food as desired (suggest Mrs. Dash Chipotle and a bit of garlic)
- Place food on the tray and put tray in the (cold) oven
- SELECT: Fan Bake, 350 degrees default , Timer - time to 25 minutes
- Press Start .
- Make a salad, have a glass of your favorite beverage, and set the table. Magic.
NOTE: The time will immediately go to 24 min. when the oven starts - no worries - it actually takes no more than 24 minutes for the chicken.
Bonus! These instructions can also be used for oven baked french fries (frozen), great pork tenderloin (reduce time if loin is small), and very nice roasted vegies (potatoes, onions, carrots, asparagus).
This oven makes passable toast, very good pseudo grilled sandwiches, great potatoes, small roasts, casseroles, and even Brussels sprouts cooked in a manner that even spouts haters will enjoy.
The oven is simple to use, counter space friendly, and it s simple clean lines are compatible with many kitchen decors.
Final Words: Amazing oven - and the refurbished price makes this oven an absolute best value .
