Many of Rosanna Bowles' tableware patterns are inspired by Italy, none more so than this new collection. Caffe Italia pieces are plastered with colorful photo montages of Italian café culture, from the artistic heart shapes that baristas create on latte foam to sidewalk scrollwork and signage. Rosanna herself took the photographs on her travels in Italy. Made of durable, refined porcelain, the collection includes everything needed for serving espresso in a variety of forms, from sip-size espresso cups to capacious latte cups and mugs. Holding 10 ounces each, these latte and/or cappuccino cups are traditionally round and bowl-like in form, the better to show off the perfect top layer of creamy foam. While the cups, each different, are white stamped with a variety of designs, the saucer surfaces are completely covered with color, predominantly coffee-brown with accents in turquoise, pink, and lime green. The saucers are actually smaller versions of the dessert plates, each displaying a different eye-catching collage that transports the espresso lover to Italy.
