Product Description
What distinguishes R??SLE products from all others is the careful attention that's given to every detail. Each item is flawless in design, streamlined to suit particular prepwork tasks. A combination of maximum performance with timeless design that's won them many awards. Their stainless steel garlic press lets you press out the juices from the garlic, leaving the fibrous material behind. A loop on the handle lets you hang from your R??SLE open kitchen storage system. Amazon.com Review
One of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 9-inch garlic press minces even unpeeled cloves of garlic with a cunningly engineered lever mechanism that requires minimal pressure. Another nice touch is the mincing head that flicks open for easy rinsing. Pressing the handles afterward locks them together for storage. Like all Rösle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, the garlic press is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handles have a satin finish to conceal finger marks (in pleasing contrast to the mirror-finish head). The handles are sealed against water, and one handle has a hanging ring so the garlic press can be conveniently stored on a hook in the Open Kitchen system of Rösle basic rails and Gridwalls or hung on any hook or peg. The garlic press is sturdy, balanced, and exceptionally comfortable in the hand. All Rösle products are made in Germany, are dishwasher-safe, and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Summary: High Quality Garlic Press 2008-10-07
Comment: I thought this garlic press was a little over priced when I got it, but I had a gift certificate so I decided to go ahead and splurge. After 4 months, I am very glad I got it and I think it's well worth the price. It's very sturdy and the weight of the handles helps make it easier to press the garlic. The fact that the part with the little holes swings out so you can get to every corner to clean it is really nice too. It even goes fine in the dishwasher.

Comment: And it works very nicely.
(mind you I don't think it's all that easy to clean)

Summary: Broke within 2 months! 2008-05-26
Comment: This product is BEAUTIFUL and well-designed. Unfortunately, the cool tension feature that keeps the handles closed broke within 3 uses. Then, less than 2 months later, the whole thing just snapped and bent into a completely unusable shape while routinely pressing garlic! I'm so so disappointed!! I have contacted Amazon customer support and will see how they respond to this issue. I read p curran's review before I purchased but thought that he/she was in the minority and just been sent a lemon. Apparently, they make plenty of lemons to go around! I hope your experience is better but be prepared for disappointment and frustration.

Summary: World's Greatest Garlic Masher 2008-05-10
Comment: I had some really bad luck with garlic mashers in the past. The common flaw would be that they were either difficult to clean or eventually the handles would break. The Rosle garlic masher has to be the best one that I have ever used or seen. First off this thing is solid and will not have any problems mashing garlic. It's also sturdy and is definitely high quality. The best part about it is the cleaning. It's difficult to describe but the screen that mashes the garlic splits apart and allows direct access to remove garlic pulp. It makes cleaning easy and quick. This caused me to throw away all of my cheap kitchen utensils and switch over to Rosle on almost everything.
