Summary: Good value for the money. 2007-01-25
Comment: Purchased mine from [..] Online. Arrived with no damage. Runs fine. Not designed for built-in application as it requires some space around it for ventilation. I framed in a niche under a breakfast bar which it slides into, and it looks built in. Does not have separate temp zones for reds & whites, but chills nicely. Very quiet. Interior light nice. Had it for 6 months. Guests are impressed when I bring a bottle out of a built-in looking wine cooler. Made an almost inaccessible undercounter corner very useful. Very pleased!

Summary: Will be Delivered damaged! 2006-12-07
Comment: Come on...you think after all the returns and reviews that they would have figured this out. I will have to return this mangled mess and I cant see myself re-ordering. For what ever its worth it does look good other than the 7 huge chips out of the top and the internal broken hinges.
PS The box didnt have a scratch on it-Go figure!

Summary: Arrived totally mangled 2006-06-27
Comment: Yes, yes... all the stories ARE true! We too used overnight shipping to try to lessen the likelihood of receiving a mangled mess, and we received a mangled mess. We had to send back the first one and wait for a second, slightly less damaged version to arrive.

Summary: Poor packing, but overall satisfied 2006-05-18
Comment: Despite reading all of the other scary reviews about receiving units that were damaged in shipment, I decided to go ahead and order this. I was able to select next-day delivery for $3.99 (as an Amazon Prime subscriber), so I was hoping the fast delivery would lessen the chance of damage.
The unit arrived as scheduled via Fed-Ex next day air, and the box that the unit was in was in perfect condition. However, I still required the deliveryman to help me open the box so I could be sure there was no damage.
The unit had very little packaging around it ... just a bit of styrofoam on the corners of the unit. Pretty inadequate considering that it has a glass door and that parts of the refridgeration unit stick out a bit from the back. I did notice that there were some minor dents on one side (I doubt they happened in delivery), but you only notice them when the light shines on the side at a certain angle. After signing for the package and installing the unit, I also noticed that there is a bar at the back that is slightly bent which causes the cooler to be a little wobbly. I solved this to my satisfaction by putting a bit of cardboard at the appropriate point.
One other small note ... the shelves inside were taped to prevent movement during shipping, but whoever put the tape on did an incredibly sloppy job. Many of the pieces of tape didn't even touch the shelves, and there was one shelving unit that was loose and was rattling around during shipment.
I now have the unit set up in my dining room, and it has a very nice look to it. The unit just arrived a few hours ago, so I don't know how well the unit functions, but at this point I am very pleased with my purchase.
If you are thinking about ordering this unit, you are taking somewhat of a risk, although if it arrives undamaged I think it is a pretty good deal.

Summary: Everything stated here is true 2006-05-01
Comment: In spite of everything we read here, we indeed ordered this wine chiller as a wedding gift. (Thinking that surely after this many complaints, the company would have corrected the packaging problems.) Silly us - the unit arrived with a dent in the back side and a good-sized chunk out of the front door frame. The giftee said the entire unit was packed so poorly, it was literally rattling around inside the box.
We're not sure what good it will do to return this product (not to mention the hassle involved) as the replacement will obviously arrive in the same type of packaging and could be in even worse shape. The shame of it is this is an attractive unit that you should be proud to show off; instead, it's one that has to be hidden due to improper packaging and warrants a simple "DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT."
