Summary: Very Pleased with This Product 2008-10-08
Comment: This toaster oven/microwave combo works well on all features. I especially like the convenience of having a
toaster oven again, and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent results of the top and bottom grilling function.
There are two drawbacks: The extended noise of a cooling fan, but it only lasts a minute or two and only
operates after lengthy cooking times. And the time and function window is rather poorly lit. However, I love
the ability to turn off the audible signal.
Though not as powerful as our old one, it's perfect for our needs, and we love the look.

Summary: Sharp Warm & Toasty, etc. 2008-08-25
Comment: The Warm & Toasy is a very attractive unit. But, I found it not to my liking. The convection fan stays on long after you're finished using it. My apartment heated up very quickly. The toaster only toasted on one side of the bread and the convection fan is on for toast. I don't recommend this unit at all. I returned it.
But, I will give Amazon high marks for customer follow service. They arranged for the unit to be picked up at my apartment and let me know when the unit would be picked up. Amazon is an excellent "department store" and I will continue to do business with them.

Summary: Buying for 2nd time!! 2008-08-02
Comment: After 5 years of the 1st warm & toasty, I'm buying my 2nd! We use this all the time. I make chicken even whole chicken, fish, meatloaf, baked potatoes, veggies, you name it. I love it and the 1st served me well. We don't make popcorn but it seems it IS truly the most used appliance in the kitchen. After further research, it seems this is the ONLY one of its kind manufactured. My husband would like quicker toast so I'll get him a 2 slide toaster but despite all the negatives I've read from other sites, this site had the most positive, I KNOW it is a great little appliance. My 96 yr young mother uses it exclusively and I too wondered if hers stopped working, how will I find another to replace it. Glad to know they are still making it. I am getting another in the next few days with hope that it too will last another 5 years.

Summary: Extremely useful despite negative reviews. 2008-07-27
Comment: I love this microwave - I nearly didn't buy it due to negative reviews, but I am glad I did. I have not had any of the major problems people have spoken of in reviews except sparking (see below for cause and fix). I have had it for months now, and use it daily. I have to keep the stainless steel wiped clean of fingerprints, but its cute curved viewing window gives it an almost Italian country oven feel that I love. It takes a bit to learn to use the buttons - keep that manual close because it's pretty dissimilar to the usual microwave set-up. Once you learn, though, it's very quick to set and use.
It's not a high-wattage oven, so expect things to cook more slowly. It takes forever to brown onions, for example. This is not a problem for many foods I cook such as the bread I make, and then brown using the oven or broiler functions (broiler for flatbread and pizza dough). It makes decent toast, and I can make many a meal that need various cooking functions with this one small oven.
The ability to set a very low, gentle heat gives me the capability to create soft but sliceable bread from nut flours, something harder in a more powerful oven where the waves are turned off too long at a time on the low settings. It is also sensational for scrambling eggs at the 50% setting - deliciously creamy as they will not be if you cook them on high. While the baking and browning are more like a toaster oven than a conventional one in cooking quality, they really expand the utility of this nuker. It's very common for me to bake something and then nuke it till done, or nuke something and bake and brown it It does a wonderful job of finishing off grilled chicken or fish while keeping it moist without over-cooking.
If you leave crumbs on the tray until they turn into charcoal chunks, this oven will crackle and spark. It's scary at first until you realize what's happening. Keep crumbs cleaned up and this will not be a problem. I got a silicone matt and cut it round to fit the tray which makes it more non-stick and easier to clean.
I am semi-handicapped at this point in time so do much of my cooking while sitting down. With this little oven's versatility, I don't have to get up and down as much. I will not hesitate to replace it when it dies, and only hope one just like it is still available. I have literally thought about buying and storing a replacement I like it so much. Its multi-functioning is great for a person in a small apartment or a student in a studio or dorm room wanting an all-purpose machine that does just about everything. I find it quite satisfactory as an all-in-one appliance and just an all-around delight. I recommend it highly.

Summary: Great Little Oven ! 2008-06-28
Comment: A 650 watt JEWEL ! Yes, it's a small, low powered unit. For me, that's the charm. Consider, most homes have 200 amps incoming power. My boat has 30. One watt over the limit and fuses blow. When I searched for the lowest wattage microwave, imagine my delight when I found this unit that bakes and toasts as well!
I use the low wattage side of a two burner cooktop to fry bacon and eggs, while using the Sharp Warm and Toasty to bake blueberry muffins and I still having enough power to run the air conditioner and the refrigerator/freezer if only one light is on and the coffee has already been made and is only running the warming plate. Oh. The ship to shore radio can be on too. That's living well!
One thing - I read the manual. That's important with this unit. It's not that complex, but it IS 3 different machines in one and to get the best out of it, one needs to make the right selections.
Also, understand the limitations of 650 watts. My iron is 1000 watts. My iron would blow the fuses on the boat every time and it can't bake great cornbread, like this little oven does. I found a small cast iron skillet with a wooden handle, removed the handle so it would fit in the oven, and the cornbread is as good as from home.
At first I thought toast was slow. But using the toaster grid, it browned nicely on both sides and tastes great. Then I timed my toaster/oven at home... both take 4 minutes.
Never tried popcorn, but I routinely feed guests (2 - 4 people) from my tiny galley and everyone is amazed. Thanksgiving, four of us had baked chicken and cornbread dressing, baked green bean w/ mushroom casserole, fresh squash, cranberry sauce, pear salad and iced tea with Boston Crème Pie for dessert. Never could have done that with a plain-jane microwave and there's NO WAY I'm going to use propane below decks. I love it!
