Summary: A Nice Surprise 2008-11-02
Comment: I needed a temporary cooking pot, so I bought the identical small size of this brand at a discount store. It is a dream to use. I especially like the weight, the very unique straining clear glass lid, and the fact that I can use something like Barkeepers Friend to keep it looking like new. Now, I came to Amazon to order two more sizes because this line has all the qualities of cookwear that I require. I have high-end SS cookware which probably cost 3 to 4 times this amount, and their quality is no greater. If you like to cook, you will like this pot.

Summary: mindless design 2008-09-20
Comment: These pans could have been great a part from a silly design flaw that made me give it only one star:
The handle (tube like handle with a hole on the bottom) is built in such a way that it traps the heat from the flame, the heat moves up the handle making it too hot to touch after a very short heating.
This makes cooking with it very disappointing since every time I reach the handle I need a glove or cloth to spare my hand the burning sensation.
I am no expert on pans so I cant judge the heat distribution and other features of this pan.
I would have given this pan 4 stars if it weren't for the heating handle,
but now we are considering buying new pans
Thanks for reading and good luck

Summary: pluses and minuses 2008-09-04
Comment: The plus is that the saucepan is stainless steel. I also like the way I can drain the veggies without losing them down the drain! However, the pan is heavy and the handle does not have a comfortable grip - the handle also can get hot if what you're cooking takes a while.

Summary: Great 2008-08-06
Comment: Got this about a month ago and just love it. It's heavy and well constructed. Love the see through lid and the built in strainer. You can see what's inside and one less thing to clean. I cook pasta in it often and love the idea of not having to use a seperate strainer. Highly recommend this item. If you have trouble lifting something heavy (this does have some heft to it) then you might want to consider something else.

Summary: too heavy 2008-08-03
Comment: seems like a nice pot... but, have not used it.... want to return it... description does not include the weight.... if you want a heavy pot this one's for you... but for me.... it's too heavy to be comfortable... and if it were filled it would take both hands and effort to carry
