Summary: Redi Set Go 2010-03-18
Comment:
Some folks are negative, but we have found this little appliance very convenient.

After having used it for every meal, we have nothing negative to say.

Works just as it should and are glad we made the purchase.

Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! 2010-03-11
Comment: Don't waste your money on this product!!! The timer knob fell off and broke with the second use while the top of the unit burned the food. The non-stick surface should be renamed sorta non-stick, even with "seasoning" the surface food still stuck. The concept is great but the product is horrible!

Summary: Didn't live up to expectations 2010-03-07
Comment: I am so sorry that this item did not perform as I was hoping and expecting it to. The first time I used it, it smelled as though something was burning but I thought it was the newness of it. Now, I think that something connected to the timer may have burned loose, because the timer stopped working right after the first use. I made cherry turnovers and they stuck to the top and bottom (even after spraying both with PAM). I used the plastic spatula to get them out and it scratched the bottom pretty badly (the turnovers were good though, thus the 1 star). I noticed that the top paint had a bubble in it as well (just a matter of time before it would start peeling). I tried to cook pork chops, but they were very dry and a pizza pocket (which was okay, but stuck again). Needless to say, I had to return this product. I was so looking forward to using my Xpress cooker. I hope that the manufacturers will go back to the drawing board and come up with an improved product.

Comment: Commericals are great but alot of hype about a little machine. It's ok but nothing to write home about!!!

Summary: Still works after 10 months, despite many cheap construction flaws 2010-03-06
Comment: Like many others here, I was sucked in by Cathy's infomercial and ordered this product. I have had mine for 10 months now, and use it at least twice a week. It still works quite well despite cheap construction flaws. Two that bother me the most I'll list here:

1. Inferior nonstick coating: I followed the instructions to season the non-stick surface before use and always use non-stick spray, but the non-stick coating started peeling away after the very first time I cooked breaded poultry directly on the surface of the bottom well. After 10 months, the bottom surface is mostly gone: I will follow another reviewer's advice to line it with aluminum foil.

2. Timer knob doesn't stand up to heat: The Xpress Redi Set Go gets quite warm during use, and the plastic timer knob expands where it is fitted at the base and becomes a loose part that always falls off.

A problem others have mentioned that I have also experienced, is the amount of steam and cooking exhaust this device produces. Place the Xpress under your range hood during operation, and have something to wipe away any greasy condensation it leaves around it!

Otherwise, I find that the Xpress cooks consistently (although I have to add a few minutes to the included recipe book's cooking times). It handles omelets beautifully.

Believe it or not, I bought a second Xpress Redi Set Go to use after this one wears out!
