Summary: Safe and Efficient Vegetable Peeler 2008-07-28
Comment: Zyliss 30600 soft skin peeler.
In my opinion, this is the best vegetable peeler! It won't skip on cucumbers, keeps a straight line and is skimpy on what it takes off. You keep a lot more vegetable than if you were peeling with a paring knife.
I've used this peeler on a tomato, zucchini, peach, cucumber and pear. Am so happy with the peeler that I had to share it with all Amazon shoppers.
You will be so happy that you purchased this awesome vegetable peeler because I am.

Comment: We use this mostly on Kiwi. My wife loves Kiwi fruit but isn't wild about the skin. This peeler peels the skin off without taking the fruit with it. It's easy to use, and easy to clean. Highly recommended!

Comment: This peeler certainly did not perform up to expectations. I had several pounds of ripe peaches to peel and this peeler just got stuck in the flesh and did not peel nicely. The teeth dug in to the soft flesh and tore out huge hunks. What a waste of nice organic fruit. I attempted to peel two different peaches, then gave up and went back to a simple paring knife.

Comment: This is a great peeler. It ships with a little plastic cover that shields the point and the blade. It would be nice for that to be able to clip on so you can keep it. Otherwise, really nice, comfortable, does what it's supposed to.
