In 1976 a young Toronto musician released a fun and lively record called Singable Songs for the Very Young. The artist was a fellow called Raffi, and in the liner notes he wrote at the time that "there are very few good children's records." True as that was in the '70s, Singable Songs became the No. 1 bestseller in its field and set the standard for today's greater volume of high-quality material. The Singable Songs Collection reissues the classic Singable Songs for the Very Young and its superlative successors, More Singable Songs and Corner Grocery Store, as a set. Raffi's exhilarating acoustic musicality and sense of humor shine brightly through. Single-digit-age kids and their parents will get a kick out of these silly, educational, and joyful songs, which range in subject matter and tone from shared peanut-butter sandwiches and instrumental ragtime to standards like "Goodnight, Irene." --Paige La Grone

Summary: Worth every penny! 2009-05-25
Comment: I love listening to these songs and my 17-month-old son gives me a huge smile every time I play these songs. The songs are great for adults as well as kids. I love the kid friendly lyrics to Goodnight Irene. I know that we will be listening to these cds for years and that my son will be singing them to his children. A must have for every parent.

Summary: We love Raffi! 2009-04-29
Comment: We love Raffi! I have a dayhome and one day two of my little girls started singing MR. Sun! I asked the girls if they knew the song and we proceeded to sing it. Raffi Singable Songs was one of the tapes I used to sing with my three sons when they were small 30 yrs ago. I went to the computer and ordered the 3disc set and we are enjoying it so much. One of our favorite songs when we eat lunch is Mr. Sun. I was so glad to see that Raffi's music was still available. We also have his Christmas disc and our favorite song is Must Be Santa! Summary: Raffi Music 2009-04-18
Comment: My daughter loved Raffi when she was a child. I was so happy to find this music to share with her baby. Some things NEVER go out of style. These songs bring back a lot of wonderful memories.

Summary: Not what I expected 2009-04-17
Comment: This is a good CD, but it didn't have all of the Raffi songs I expected to be on the collection. We still enjoy the cd.

Summary: Incredibly dull 2009-01-31
Comment: There are so many better kid's artists. Raffi is so cheesy and boring. I don't know who is worse, Raffi or Barney.
