Summary: Priscilla Ahn is very refreshing 2008-10-09
Comment: I found Priscilla Ahn on a flight from LA to Toronto on the entertainment system. I liked her so much I tracked down her CD. She's not yet available on itunes. I have not been disappointed. It has been in my car since I bought it. She is in the genre of Norah Jones. Her lyrics are very relational and have some interesting angles that most songs don't explore. She's soothing and light.

Summary: New Emrging Artists 2008-09-27
Comment: Priscilla Ahn in this album and Arrica Rose in her new album La La Lost...two new emerging SS give me faith in the direction that music is going. Both these artists are very talented singers and writers, whose unigue styles only enhance the world of music. Buy both of these albums.

Summary: cool country/folk/pop 2008-09-06
Comment: priscilla ahn is the latest newcomer to emerge of the folk-pop scene and judging by this record , she plans to be around awhile...the voice is very happy, often airy, she hits the higher registers easily, often soaring above her arrangements...a lot of the stuff is folk, with some country mixed in....i like " dream " and " red cape "...."astronaut " has a carrousel-like vibe that i liked alot...." lullaby" lives up to its name....it will make you dreamy...." find my way back home " is just priscilla and a ukelele and it is a fun song...." opportunity to cry " is a willie nelson song which sounds very good here ...." a good day " is a sythesizer laced track that also stands out....

Summary: Priscilla Ahn: Needle in a haystack. 2008-08-18
Comment: Aha! We found it!
Ooops. I mean, her.
I popped in the CD and listened to the first track, "Dream".
I know it's hard to believe but the stress I was going through that day somehow evaporated as Ms. Ahn's combination of a golden voice, precise guitar playing, and wondrous knack for the harmonica reverberated from my living room.
The heat of Southern California became bearable.
As the second track "Wallflower" was nearing its end, where Priscilla's voice shines and resonates in perfection, my mother steps in the living room and asks,
"Who's that?"
"Priscilla Ahn".
For the first time in quite a long time, my mother was interested in 21st century music.
She sat down and began comparing Priscilla's blooming voice to the legendary Astrud Gilberto, one of Brazil's finest Bossa Nova artists.
Ms. Ahn possesses a classic, jazzy tone which sounds a lot like "great American music". Try her CD, and you tell me. There is simply no comparison to the gigantic empires of Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, or Carrie Underwood. Priscilla Ahn is on a league of her own.
May I reveal one more thing?
Her songwriting ability is phenomenal. Every song is a true story. I can't pinpoint which song stands out the most because all are so deeply intimate yet they possess an enchanting quality that makes us breathe easier, smile a lot more, and feel very good about ourselves.
Are you tired of listening to the same songs on the radio?
Looking for a Good Day?
Look, we consumers found her CD through the haystack of American media.
And now, I am writing a review to spread the word.
Have a "Good Day".
P.S. Priscilla is having one heck of a Good Day.

Comment: A Good Day
I like Priscilla Ahn's voice and her music. Her voice is soft, clear and strong. She reminds me of lady folk singers of the 70's with a modern twist and a unique style. Priscilla connects across the generation gap. I bought three Cd's and gave one to my sister and to my niece; they enjoyed it as I thought they would. She has a bright future and will contribute more good music which I look forward to hearing.
