Summary: Rock the WAY it's SUPPOSED to BE!!!!!!! 2008-09-09
Comment: This is SIMPLY ROCK as it SHOULD BE!!! No Frills and Techno's just good simple ROCK! Alice is in Typical if not better ROCK and ROLL VOICE! I challenge anyone of the new and upcoming ROCKERS to go against ALICE! At 60 he is still pumping out ROCK as ROCK Should BE Pumped out, High Velocity with no strings!!! .....and do you believe he is still not inducted in the Rock and ROLL Hall of Fame (SHAME)!!!!! What's that all about??????????? If you want a good rock and roll roller coaster ride, well then give your sense's a treat and pick up a copy and BLAST THOSE EAR DRUMS!!!!!

Summary: Along Came A CLassic !!! 2008-09-03
Comment: This is the best collection of songs / stories Alice has released since "Brutal Planet"....and the most fully realised "concept" since "From The Inside". There are hints of Alice's back catalogue: The opening riff of "Im Hungry" is reminiscent of "Is It My Body" while "I Know Where You Live" would sit nicely on "Flush The Fashion" or "Special Forces". And of course, our favourite, all time anti-hero Steven makes a welcome (to my nightmare) return. Alice's voice is razor sharp and his lyrics, typically tongue in cheek / Hammer Horror style are among the best he's written. "You look like you'd fit in the trunk of my car" from "The One That Got Away" is an instant "Cooper Classick". The band / assembled musicians are right on the money (cant wait to hear this material live and loud !!).And...here..my prize...the artwork. Absolutely gorgeous !!! Especially on the vinyl version. Gotta love big 12" x !2" covers..with a gatefold. Presentation is right up there with the LP versions of "Billion Dollar Babies", "Schools Out", "Killer" and "The Last Temptation".
Get it before it gets you !!!
Best wishes...MAC

Summary: Misses Bob Ezrin's Touch 2008-08-20
Comment: Don't get me wrong, this is a good Alice Cooper album and the packaging by Piggy D is top notch on the LP. I even got a little weak in the knees when I saw the silk colored wax (man I miss artwork like this).

Lyrically, it is all Alice. If not even more twisted and mean than ever before. Musically, it sounds like a Hampton and Saber album (except for Vengence - easily the best track). It doesn't sound like how Bob Ezrin would have left things, and this is basically what keeps it from being an awesome record.

Remember how when Jeff Lynne was producing Roy Orbison, Jeff Harrison, Tom Petty, everybody sounded like an ELO record? Not the marks of a good producer. Same thing here. This disk had the potential to be a monster smash, but the production killed it.
