Summary: Great medium sized fan! 2010-01-31
Comment: We bought this fan to put in our family room with cathedral ceilings, fans are never fun to install but this one was ok, I really like the style to it, but be careful and read how low it hangs because the light fixture adds about a foot onto it. All in all a great fan!

Summary: pictures do not do this fan justice 2009-11-14
Comment: Our living room needed better air circulation; especially in the winter as our heating vents are on the ceiling (not a great place for heating vents!). Looking at fans, I wanted something stylish but not too expensive and this hunter fan fit the bill.

First the materials look great. The main housing is brushed metal and very solid. The glass fixtures are pleasing to the eye and have a little heft in the hand. The blades, while pressed wood, look pretty good (as long as you don't look too close). For the price, it a great deal.

Install is a snap too. You will need a few tools like a level and screw driver. The unit appears to have two connection points to help balance the load too. This is a nice feature since as you speed up the fan instead of the whole thing shaking, only one section will. The part attached to the ceiling stays completely still. Since I don't want to have a fan come lose and crash on my head, I find this safety feature really well designed.

The only complaint is the instruction manual. Its not the best written thing and the images of the screws bore no resemblance to the actual product. Aside from that though, this is an amazing value for the money

Summary: 52 Inch Ceiling Fan 2009-09-27
Comment: Have had installed for about a week. Like fan very much. Design is different than other fans I have. Five blades and light unit hanging down with light covers facing up. Do not see bulbs at all. Works well in room where it is installed.

Summary: Beautiful Fan, Slight wobble 2009-05-20
Comment: Ordered and installed this fan with no problems. It does have a slight wobble at the highest fan speed, but I haven't taken the time balance the blades with the provided kit, so we leave it on low or medium most of the time. The 40W bulbs are a little dim, but overall, this is a great fan. We thought we got a steal at $95 - wish we had held out till it was down to $77!

Summary: Noisy hum Hunter Fan 2009-05-15
Comment: The Hunter name is usually a sign of good workmanship and quality. We paid someone to install this fan and found it had an annoying hum to it when it was turned on. So we thought it was a defect, returned it and painfully re-installed another one. It also has the annoying humming sound!!!! It looks good..but that's not the point.
Useless you plan on installing it in a noisy room where no one will notice - don't buy it.
