Boasting a capacity of 1,751.4 cubic inches, the Elefunk can fit such items as a couple of textbooks and paperbacks, a large binder, a couple of spiral notebooks, a calculator, pens and pencils, a bag lunch, a cell phone, and an MP3 player--all without breaking a sweat. Customer Reviews
Avg. Customer Review: 4.5 Star

Customer Rating: 4 Star
Summary: well made 2010-01-17
Comment: well made, large enough. gave four stars for difficulty to unlock for my daughter, otherwise happy with the purchase.
Customer Rating: 4 Star
Summary: good bag for recreation but not for business 2010-01-16
Comment: CONS:
- The buckle clips that hold down the flap are hard to pinch/undo
- The large zipped section under the flap doesn't have enough organizer slots, so stuff will be all jumbled up in there.
- Laptop section isn't well padded (side padding very thin and no padding on the bottom at all)
- Straps are sown on so less durable and can't change to special padded straps
- No quick access pocket in the back outside of the bag

PROS:
+ Roomy zipped main compartment
+ Roomy pockets on the front of the flap and under the flap.

While this bag falls shorts as a computer business bag, I think it has potential as a sports or duffle bag alternative.

If you are looking for a messenger bag with a zipped main compartment covered by a flap, check out the review on these other ones that I tried: Netpack Comp Brief II, Netpack Manhattan Computer Brief, and I ended up with Dakine Laptop Messenger Bag SMall.

Comment: All I can say is, JanSport thanks for saving my shoulders and back pain!!! Totally worth it!!
Customer Rating: 5 Star
Summary: Love This Bag 2009-12-17
Comment: I teach four courses so I carry a ton of stuff with me every day - books, notebooks, binders, etc - and it all fits in this bag with room to spare. The padded shoulder strap is comfy even though the bag is heavy when full. My only complaint is that the two buckles that secure the top flap are a little stiff but hopefully they will loosen up with use. I had originally wanted a briefcase (somewhat more professional looking) but they tend to be heavy even when empty and not as roomy or practical. This one is light but sturdy, with room for everything. I would definitely recommend it.
Customer Rating: 4 Star
Summary: Sturdy bag for work and travel 2009-12-10
Comment: I was a bit skeptical buying this bag even though the reviews were good, but I was pleasantly surprised. I took this bag on my trip to Hong Kong and boy was it worth it. My T61 laptop fit in snugly into it along with a set of change of clothes. The bag has ample space inside to fit a few books and also enough zipper pouches on the side to hold your misc. items like coins, pens, mp3 players, chargers, cords etc. Access to these pouches is very convenient especially at the airport security line, where you can slip in your cellphones, wallet, coins without having to open the main flap.
I now use this for work carrying my laptop, charger and my lunch box. Have had a great experience.
I gave it a 4 star because the bag fells a bit uncomfortable when you load it with heavier items like books, but then again it was never designed for the super heavy items.
