Summary: 15 amps. Cup not fit well. 6 oz. capacity. water not too hot 2010-02-01
Comment: Thanks to the other posters. if working this:
a) puts on a bright red light (right side) when on, and
b) brews immediately..spitting out little bits of water at a time.

I tried this with a wagan ac to dc converter model 9903.
Well the converter is useless and only puts out 5 amps. The coffee maker is 15.

The cup that comes with coffee maker is cute.
Stainless..with nice handles..does not go with the little unit that well.

Have not tried making coffee yet.

Water is NOT super hot..definitely drinkable immediately. Not sure if you could put plan water through twice and make it hotter.

I think it will be good. but drink it fast...

Wagan Tech Item 2307 personal Mini coffee maker.

I like the color (black) shape (sleek), of the maker, etc.
Box says cord is 8 feet. It is three.

Summary: It does what it claims to do 2009-10-09
Comment: I tested this unit by running water thru it without coffee for one cycle. It comes with a hanger for attachment to your car door, so I attached it to the passenger door of my little pickup. This is a simple process; part of the hanger slides down inside the window well, and it bends to fit any car door. The cup holds exactly 8 ounces to its rim. The water reservoir fills to a maximum of 6 ounces; any more runs directly into the cup. The unit is clearly not intended for operation in a moving vehicle. The cup does not fully seat in the bottom tray and would easily slide off. And when filled to 6 ounces, the reservoir would easily spill if jostled.

So how's it work? It took 10 minutes and a few seconds for all the water to heat and run into the cup. The cup of water was hot. Not very hot and not kinda hot, just plain hot. I'm sure some people would want it hotter, but it would be fine for me (and Goldilocks). The water begins to drip after only a minute or so. This means that if you're making something other than coffee, like maybe tea or soup or instant oatmeal, you can place the fixin's in the cup and have it brewed by the time all the water has run thru.

For waking up to hot coffee at a campsite, I'd say it does the job. And that's what it's really meant to do.

Summary: The Wagan is just what I wanted 2007-02-19
Comment: It is a simple device, and it is easy to imagine enhancements that would improve it, yet it is as advertised and does just what I wanted it to do. It sits in a shallow cardboard box between the seats of my old Nissan where it is perfectly level and will not shift around while I'm driving, so I set it up just before I leave for work. I work close to my home, so my morning commute is about ten minutes, about the time it takes the Wagan to brew my coffee. A larger cup with a brew-through lid would make it safer for use while the car is in motion, which the manufacturer recommends against, still I am very happy with it and have no complaints.

Summary: Appears to be a good idea in the picture, BUT....... 2006-11-26
Comment: I got this item for my coffee-loving truck driver husband. When we took it out of the box, we saw the obvious problem: the "mug" is tiny! Only a bit larger than an espresso cup. To add insult to injury, it took way too long to brew for such a small cup. Now it's back in the box collecting dust and we're sorry we wasted our hard-earned money.
