Comment: The early reports of issues where the blade height adjusts itself on its own seem to be gone. I couldn't see any way that could happen with this device now. The vacuum feature is not perfect, but I'd say it gets about 90% of the trimmings. I marked it down a star for that issue as well as the fact that there is a plastic spring-loaded piece that I think is there to help push the trimmings toward the vacuum, but when you remove the top for mustache trimming it would be nice if that piece moved out of the way so you can get maximum control of where you are cutting. Otherwise it has worked well for the few weeks I've had it so far.

Comment: Received the T980 for Christmas and have been using it for 2 months now.
As for trimming... outstanding. Gives excellent repeatable results. I have had no problems with the length changing as some reviewers reported. Mine has stayed on the 3 setting that I chose for everytime without fail.
As for the vacuum part... it is a marked improvement over the old method of covering the sink with a towel or just wiping all the stubble off after trimming. I would say that the vacuum catches about 85% to 90% of the hairs. But it is not 100% mess free as the package and the manufacturer suggest. So I can't go 5 stars, because it isn't 100%... but a noticable improvement.
Overall, very pleased with this trimmer.

Comment: The first time I used it, I was not very impressed. But each time I use it now, I am more pleased. Once you learn to use it, you will like it. It is very powerful, even without the boost. The vacuum is not perfect, but a lot better than not having one. I have a full beard and it does not pull my facial hair when I use it. I would highly reccomend it.
