Summary: bite size 2008-08-12
Comment: These bite size are perfect for the smaller dog and seem to go farther. My dog loves them and she is VERY fussy.

Summary: Some of the only treats with less than 283823 ingredients 2008-08-02
Comment: I have yet to find another treat that didn't contain a laundry list of ingredients. My dog (a pug) absolutely loves these treats, and I feel good feeding them to him. I love the size of these discs so you can give them more than one or two and feel that it's an appropriate amount. They are recognizably little slices of chicken (the large ones, as well) and only have positive additives (flax seed which is good for their hair and skin) and Vitamin E (the same). The company is very responsive to inquiries, which rest my mind.
I don't feel that the 1 star rating is fair at all, nor do I agree with it in any shape or form. If the writer is concerned about goods made in China ad is boycotting them all together, they should take a look at more than just their dog food before writing reviews. Also, people who have not bought this product should NOT be submitting reviews. Save your time for something you have actually tried! I personally would rather feed my dog a treat made in China, where the company is willing to send me information about their process, than a bi-product, corn-meal filler American-produced treat that won't give you information.

Summary: Company Has Safe Production Facility 2008-06-10
Comment: I too was extremenly concerned when I noticed the tiny "Made In China" stamp at the bottom of my dog and cats FAVORITE treat. I contacted the company by email and a very helpful representative sent me (within a day) a full report on the conditions of the facility in China that does manufacture the product, as well as the rigorous post-manufacture testing that each product goes through. Email them if you are concerned. I believe that this is a safe and wonderful product!

Summary: Dog's favorite treat 2008-05-22
Comment: OK, so these are made in China. I'll take off 1 star for that, and I do understand the concern especially due to the past problems with pet food that originated in China. That being said, I bought these for my girlfriend's dog and he absolutely LOVES them! Any other treats that you give him he will ignore at first (he's more concerned with getting attention and is smart enough to know that the treat will still be there later). Not so with the Dogswells, he eats them immediately and begs for more! I don't write too many reviews but thought I would throw this one out there since the current rating is so low based solely upon the country of manufacture.

Summary: "MADE IN CHINA" 2008-05-07
Comment: We lost a dearly beloved animal companion due to the poisoning of pet food from China. He enjoyed that food very much and then it killed him.
I have been to China and met many lovely people and they of course are not all responsible for that tragedy. But until we have been convinced that our trust will not be violated again (pet food, toothpaste, painted toys) we will not consume anything from China and neither will our critter companions.
If they will produce this food and the ingredients in a safer location, where stricter controls are in place, we will buy it.
