Summary: Works great, just dont get it wet 2008-10-20
Comment: I can't believe it took me so long to get this tool to remove matts. It is also a great tool for thinning the coat in those matt prone areas, which prevents the problem in the first place....Only issue I have is that it is not made out of stainless steel, so if you get the "teeth" wet they rust almost immediately. Don't use these on a wet dog and don't wash them as you will find that hand drying them is impossible without getting sliced up.

Summary: Good for the crankiest of cats 2008-09-30
Comment: My cat is a total jerk. We have one short hair, sweet tempered cat, and one long haired total jerk of a cat.
Our long haired cat this year had about nine giant dreadlocks in his fur. We tried to comb them out with a fine toothed comb, but he hissed and ran away from us any time he was approached with a comb. He will not tolerate being brushed for more than three seconds at a time.
This thing looks daunting and scary. I was skeptical, but ordered it anyway. It is basically five razor blades. In the short, three second intervals I was allowed to comb my cat before he ran off and hid, I was able to remove all of the dreads - it took about 12 sessions (12x3 = about 36 total seconds). Some were big, some were small. All in all, I'd recommend this product for a cranky, hairball of a jerk cat - whom you still love (for some unknown reason). We were both impressed with how easily you can remove the entire dread - and how soft our cat is again. (He does let you pet him - sometimes...)

Summary: Pet necessity 2008-03-08
Comment: This is a life saving for brushing your dog. It was a fraction of the price getting at Amazon . I have tried others, for nearly twice the price that didnt work. If you have failed with others - this is the professional level groomer quality. Dog appreciates it too! Its makes job more comfortable for them and quick for me.

Summary: Matbreaker works well 2007-06-27
Comment: I have a huge, 26 pound, long-haired Maine Coon cross breed cat who has a nasty temper when he gets groomed. He is banned from several groomers in my city unless they sedate him, which I won't do. I used the Matbreaker on him with great success. It removed tons of loose hair, and cut through the mats. I could only work in 4-5 minute sessions, but the product works great, and seems to be painless for him.
