Summary: Reasonably Priced Insulin Syringe for the Doggies 2008-02-01
Comment: This is my second purchase for a batch of insulin syringes. It's very difficult to find U-40 syringes specifically made for the insulin prescribed to my dogs. The syringes are sturdy and well marked. Easy to fill and inject. I like that it's not individually wrapped, as it's a waste and more time consuming to remove than the little caps that the UltiCare syringes do. The only complaint I have is the gauge of the needle. I would prefer a slightly slimmer needle, as my dogs are 5 and 11 pounds, so they're pretty tiny. The price is certainly right. Oh, and the fact that it's very difficult, if not impossible to find in Canada. But even purchasing these from the States is cost effective for me. I go through 4 syringes a day and the costs add up. To purchase 30 syringes from my vet would cost me $30. 500 UltiCare syringes shipped from the US cost me approximately $120 including customs fees. I would recommend these syringes for anyone who has to use U-40 insulin, from Canada or the United States!!
