NOTE: The SIGG Active Bottle Top is available in your choice of colors, but the base of each Active Bottle Top is black. The dust cover cap that covers the mouthpiece is the only portion of the Active Bottle Top that has color options. Fashionable and functional, the innovative SIGG Active Bottle Top provides higher performance than most standard sports caps. A transparent, dirt-proof lid flips easily off of the top of the leak-proof cap and a gentle twist on the cap unlocks a patented mouthpiece mechanism while ensuring that the bottle is still 100% sealed. As you drink from the Active Bottle Top cap, simply tip the bottle and gently press your mouth against the cap creating an opening that allows a stronger and easier flow rate than comparable mouthpieces. As soon as you finish drinking and turn the bottle upright, the leak-proof seal settles back into its job of fully securing the contents of your water bottle.

Summary: not the best value for the buck 2008-07-28
Comment: I bought four of these caps for my family. Considering the price I think that caps over the spouts could be sturdier. It comes off too easily. One broke off and couldn't be re-attached.
The way you open the spout to drink takes some getting used to, it's definitely not the best top for child use. Even my husband would prefer the good old screw-on lid over having to align arrows and apply just enough pressure to get to the water inside... One has to be careful not to screw it too far in the wrong direction or it comes off altogether (which of course, is important for being able to clean the inside). Once the lid is closed it does not leak at all, which is a plus.
Overall, I'd prefer a better price for a somewhat awkward product to use.

Summary: I like it! 2008-06-20
Comment: A great top for a great water bottle. The flip top is great the drinking nozzle underneath locks and unlocks with a twist. Easy to drink out of, since it opens with the pressure of your lips. I forgot to lock it once and ended up with a puddle in my purse, but otherwise, no mishaps.

Comment: This cap is not that great. You turn the cap once to enable the flow of water. You apply pressure to the cap to release water. Water flow is pretty slow, If you turn the cap a second time, the entire mechanism is released (for cleaning). If you are trying to use this on a bottle while moving, it is very easy to accidentally release the mechanism.

Comment: The design of this top is one I have never encountered. I do wish it allowed the water to flow out easier and without as much effort. That said, it doesn't allow any leakage.

Summary: nice cap 2008-06-02
Comment: This cap is much more useful to me than the standard screw open top the bottles come with. I have no problem opening the cap to drink with my teeth. It makes it much easier to use these great bottles while you are on the go.
