Customer Rating: Summary: painted bulbs 2008-10-31 Comment: I purchased these bulbs in both red and blue and they are a real disappointment. Instead of being made out of colored glass, they are painted - and the paint does not allow much light out, plus they get very hot. I subsequently purchased another brand of 25 watt red lights that are made out of red tinted glass that put out more and better light than these 60 watt bulbs.
