The DeWalt DC988ZA Heavy Duty 18-Volt XRP 1/2-Inch Hammerdrill/Driver with Cut-Out Tool gives you two 18-volt cordless tools for about the cost of one. This combo kit features the DC988 18-Volt XRP 1/2-inch hammerdrill/driver, which uses a DeWalt high-torque, high-efficiency motor to deliver 500 in./lbs. of torque for drilling large diameter holes and driving large screws. The drill comes equipped with a patented 3-speed transmission which allows the drill to be set at the optimum speed range for the application being performed. The DC988 has a maximum speed of 2,000 RPM, and it has a maximum BPM speed of 34,000 BPM to allow for high performance drilling in masonry applications. The DeWalt DC988ZA features a 1/2-inch all metal ratcheting chuck with carbide jaws to prevent bit slippage and fall out, and a dust-sealed switch for durability and a long switch life. The drill is powered-by-an XRP extended run-time battery that gives the drill long run-time and battery life.
