Amazon.com Product Description
Tired of living in a disposable world? Then check out the Drill Doctor 750X drill bit sharpener. This cleverly designed, easy-to-use tool gives new life to old, dull bits. It accepts bits ranging in diameter from 3/32 inch to 3/4 inch and works somewhat like an electric pencil sharpener: Tighten a dull drill bit into the removable chuck, then insert the chuck into the sharpener. Inside is a (replaceable) diamond wheel that quickly sharpens the bit tip. There are two preset positions for honing the two most common drill-bit tip angles: 118 degrees and 135 degrees. The Drill Doctor 750X will sharpen high-speed steel twist bits, carbide-tipped masonry bits, and titanium-coated bits. It will even sharpen split-point bits and create split-points from standard bits. It comes with a blow-molded storage case, detailed owner's manual and an instructional DVD. Summary: A must have for wood workers 2008-11-03
Comment: I build small furniture mostly out of oak. I have been buying new bits for every project I take on. The oak would eat up the bits in no time and start splintering the wood around the hole. I spent anywhere from $2 - $10 for a new bit every time. I thought that there had to be a better way. I found this online and figured I would try it. My wife bought me one for Christmas before I could buy it. I begged her into giving it to me early and just sharpened my first bit with it. I put a few holes into a scrap piece of oak. No splinters. The bit made an extremely clean cut. Better than a new bit, as a matter of fact. This is a must buy for anyone working with hardwoods.

Summary: Nice Product 2008-10-21
Comment: Nice product, works well. Not quit as easy as a pencil sharpener but close. The enclosed video really made the directions clear. As a nice touch the manufactuer also included a $20 off coupon for a number of related products or accessories. I chose a replacement cutting wheel for this product.

Summary: Great Product 2008-10-06
Comment: This Drill Doctor does everything the adds say it will do. The video that came with the Drill Doctor is worth its weight in gold. Not only does it show you the different parts of the drill it shows you exactly how to use it. Amazon.com had the best price I found and was shipped in a very timely manner.

Summary: Great but flawed 2008-08-23
Comment: The thing works great for the most part but it could be constructed with a bit more attention to quality. For example, there is a knob that you turn to adjust the depth of cut off the bits, but the knob does not have incremental stops and just floats freely. The vibration of the machine or brushing it with your hand will turn it so you must reset it every time you insert a bit into the depth gauge. Very irritating. Also I would have made the contacting faces of the machine and bit holder out of metal instead of plastic. After extended use the plastic faces start to gaul each other. Aside from the shortcomings I've sharpened over 200 bits and I'm glad I bought it.

Summary: Drill bit sharpener 2008-08-16
Comment: After using my neighbors machine I purchased the top line Drill Doctor.
What a great job it does for me.
As a former machinist I highly recommend this machine.
It's very hard for anybody to get such a precise grind & angle that this machine produces.
