Summary: durable but outdated light 2008-02-25
Comment: I bought one of these to replace a costly Fenix that crapped out on me after a couple months, only for me to learn that the manufacturer didn't really want to replace or fix the defective unit. While the Gerber Cornea cannot compare to the higher-performance LED flashlights out there, this older-technology light does possess the advantages of extremely long battery life, bulletproof build quality, and Gerber's reputation. The thumb switch is also a sensible feature for a light this size.
Unfortunately, the downside to all of that intricate machining on the body is the price--too high nowadays compared to newer-technology lights. You probably don't want to bother purchasing this model unless Gerber cuts the price a lot.

Summary: great flashlight in low price 2007-12-16
Comment: although it carries only a .7W LED & 18 lumens output
it's cornea lens focus light beam just like a surefire
it is not as precise as the surefire, and bright enough to blink enemy's eye
but with the use of 2AA battery that you could change it anywhere easily,
the light weight, and it's price
i found no doubt to own this for general daily use
