Square up router-cut radiused hinge mortises in two simple steps. Just press this 3/8" square Corner Chisel into the sides of the mortise and whack it with your hammer or mallet for clean, crisp and square corners. Follow with a flat chisel to remove the waste silver. 5/8" max working depth.
Customer Rating: Summary: Price is right 2008-09-12 Comment: For what I paid, I am well pleased. The construction is rugged and can take repeated hits from a hammer all day long. The corner chisel blade could stand a sharpening out of the box (which isnt all that easy to do). Still, a great little tool to bring with you for cleaning up corners of door hinge mortises.

Customer Rating: Summary: it's more than what you pay for 2008-04-01 Comment: I bought this corner chisel a month ago with high expectations of it. The product does exactly what it says it does with the exception of it's dimensions. the base is roughly 1-1/16 square which renders it useless for any thing other than strike plates. still not a bad tool just disappointing

Customer Rating: Summary: It works. 2008-01-20 Comment: I like it more than the PorterCable because I can find it faster in my tool bag.
As far as I can tell, the Grizzly is made just as well if not better.
I bought the Grizzly to replace the PorterCable after it was stolen. I was skeptical because of the price difference. but now I can't imagine why the PorterCable costs three times as much.

Customer Rating: Summary: Grizzly G9701 Corner Chisel 2007-01-09 Comment: This is a good tool for squaring off those corners you router out for hinges or hardware. One hit and you get a perfect corner without having to line up your chisel on both edges. Grizzly makes good products. I have never had a problem with any of their tools.
