Summary: HARBOR FREIGHT CARPET KICKER 2009-12-09
Comment: You can buy these at Harbor Freight for about $30 if its on sale or $35 if it's not. That is where these seller are getting these and just saling them to people on Amazon for a few dollars more. I bought the exact same thing from Harbor Freight yesterday for $27 (it was on sale). They also sell a stretcher for $50 and all the other carpet tools you will need for dirt cheap. The knob on the top popped off of mine but, I think it was just a defect in mine. I will take it back and get another one this weekend. If that one fails, I will come back and trash the product but, I it will be just fine. Good Luck and stop paying too much for them on Amazon and Ebay. GO TO HARBOR FREIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Comment: I have a carpet that's buckling up so I used this to stretch it back out. Did the job quite well and cost less than renting one. Seems well-built and will take a lot of kicking.

Comment: Not a fancy as my old "Roberts" that was stolen but does just as good a job, maybe better. Of course my old Roberts was getting old. Not as easy to change the length of it but works just fine once you get the hang of it. It is made in China, if that bothers you, but what is not made in china these days. For the price it is a great deal.

Comment: When I need to do some adjusting on my carpets I went out to Lowes and bought a carpet kicker. They had only one model and it was $90! I was stuck so I bought it. Then I saw this one on Amazon and for 1/3 of the price decided to give it a try. You know what? I like this one better than the $90 one. The padding is a little thicker and kicking area larger to it doesn't hurt my knee as much. Now I don't know if the padding on the rubber will wear out with pro day-do-day use but for the homeowner I think this model is fine. It grabs the carpet find too.
