Summary: Good, for a disposable sprayer 2010-03-21
Comment: This throwaway texture gun worked well on the first room and began to jam up after the first cleaning. After the second use, the trigger adjustment jammed completely and I could not remove the hopper. On the third room, the gun sprayed intermittently (about 10% of normal) and leaked air. The construction of this gun is very, very cheap, but I have to give it two stars becaused it worked well, twice. The instructions also were good. Never purchase a used one of these. It's a disposable model.

Summary: Easy to use for small projects 2010-03-03
Comment: I found this spray gun really easy to use. I like that it sets up and cleans up so easily. It took about five minutes of practice and tinkering before I found the right setting for what I wanted to do. I did find that I needed to up the pressure from my compressor to 40-45psi from the recommended 30-35psi. The premixed texture worked fine but make sure to keep it moving into the gun. I had to keep shaking it down, especially when tilting the gun up towards the top of the wall. I didn't like the cheap plasticy construction of the gun but it worked well. Funny thing is it's hard to find a store that sells both the gun and the texture bottles. It took me a while to find both. Overall, well worth the $32 I paid for it at Home Depot.

Summary: Poorly made 2010-02-24
Comment: Good for one-time use only. Piece of junk fell apart after 15 minutes of use. Not to mention anything thicker than water clogs the gun. Poorly designed!

Summary: Works Good 2009-08-13
Comment: Works fine. It may seem a bit cheap (plastic) but for home use its just fine. I would not buy one for profesional use, but for home use, this one is fine. I did my bathroom and the job came out fine. I plan on scraping off my popcorn ceilings through out the rest of my house and I will need to texture the ceilings after I am done and Im sure this spray gun will do the job great.
Customer Rating: 3 Star
Summary: does not exude quality, but fills a niche 2008-06-11
Comment: I purchased this a couple years ago to texture the ceilings in my house after scraping the popcorn off. I will say, the product does work just fine, but not sure how it would stand up to consistent use. I will also say, if you purchase the pre-mixed containers, this will be about the most expensive way to texture you will be able to find (short of hiring someone to do the texturing for you).

The pre-mixed containers do not cover very much area, and are wickedly expensive. I'd recommend getting the 3L container and mixing your own. Purchase a container or box of topping compound and thin to the consistency somewhere between pancake batter and sour cream is the recommendation I was given and seems to work well.

Later, I purchased a real hopper gun and like it much better when doing larger areas, because the hopper lasts so much longer. After getting the hopper gun, I nearly chucked this gun because of it's cheap plastic feel until I realized that it fills the gap nicely between areas that are too large to use the aerosol cans of texture (very small patches), but too small to pull out a big hopper gun (much larger mess to clean up). A good area to use this gun on is a walk-in closet or similar sized area where it's smaller size (relative to a hopper gun) is an advantage.
