Product Description
The premium face clamp features a large pad on one arm that is placed directly across the joint line to create a perfectly flush joint as the screws are driven. It is also designed to both hold the joint line flush while the screws are driven, and to secure our pocket hole jigs without a toggle clamp while drilling pocket holes. 3-1/4" reach, maximum opening of 2-3/4".

Comment: I haven't used this product yet, but it looks plenty sturdy to me. I think the price is a bit high for what you get, but it is a specialty item to enable one to secure the work while drilling pocket holes. For that reason, I suppose the price is worth it. Appears well made

Summary: Better Than Expected 2008-05-06
Comment: After reading all the negative comments, I was a little apprehensive about ordering this tool, but none of the alternative clamps I found had the nice large pressure pads. After using it for the first time, I have to wonder whether the other reviewers are looking at the same tool. I found it to be very well-designed and constructed, equivalent in quality to a genuine Irwin Vise-Grip tool. The only modification I will make to it will be to grease or oil the threads and pivots, and that's just on general principles, not because anything is sticking or binding. The only thing that is keeping me from giving it five stars is that I consider it slightly overpriced.

Comment: It works, but Kreg could do better. This clamp is not up to Kreg tool quality. After purchasing, I have seen clamps identical to this for as little as $6 with equal or even better quality.... "Made in China" strikes again???

Summary: decent clamp 2007-12-12
Comment: I love using the kreg jig system, and just recently I found another use for this sturdy clamp.
When framing, installing backing for drywall can sometimes be hard to shoot together tight just by holding the pieces by hand. You guessed it: clamp up those 2x4's and shoot em' together tightly!
