Summary: Quiet, well-designed 2009-01-06
Comment: Heated my office well; the built-in five-temperature-option thermostat and included remote control made it very easy to moderate what was a bitterly cold atmosphere into a pleasant working environment. I've used it to heat small offices and conference rooms, and though the blown air is not blisteringly hot (85 degrees maximum), I felt it was a good purchase for me. In addition, the ceramic heating elements are hidden by a plastic guard and fan, so there is no accidental burn hazard.

Summary: Great Space Heater 2009-01-05
Comment: I purchased this for my office, sometimes you just need to get warm fast and if that is what you want, this is the right heater for you. It has a timer, oscillating feature and auto temperature. It will shut off the minute the temperature is reached. It has a great streamlined look and the price is very good too. Check this one out if you need a good heater.

Summary: How to fix this unit if it won't reset 2008-12-29
Comment: We own two of these towers and love them, but the older one suddenly cutting off every time after a few minutes' use. We tried the recommended reset method of unplugging and waiting fifteen minutes before restarting -- but to no effect. After trying and failing to reach Lasko's customer support, we did some Web searches and found that someone had fixed a similar problem by cleaning the vents. I inspected mine and found a thin layer of dust that appeared to be clogging the fine vent screening on the back of the unit. After simply brushing away the dust, this fine heating element is again fully functional!

Comment: LASKO 751320 (pictured)
I have used this heater for 2 years. the first year i used it to heat the doorway of my home in Pa..lots of heat loss through door. This year i used it in an apartment.
i found it to be very effective, the thermostat worked and cycled properly.this was NOT one of the recalled heaters,i believe that was a wiring issue.i subscribe to [..] so i knew of the recall.

Summary: Wasn't expecting how great it is! 2008-12-27
Comment: We have leased a two-story townhouse. We call the upstairs the Sahara and the downstairs Antartica. Heat rises up, so no matter what temp we turned the central on, the upstairs got hot, the downstairs.... ehhh. So we got one of these for our living room and come downstairs in the morning and turn it on. It makes a major difference. We *love* it. My dad's wall heater went out so we brought him this until the new one came (2 days later) and had to fight to get it back. :) We bought him one online and it should be delivered next week. He (like us) liked the silence, the osccilation, the temp control... everything. And we're not heating just a bedroom, we're heating a big living room. It makes a world of difference. Love everything about it. Remote control way cool when you're sitting down and think ya wouldn't mind having it a tad warmer around you. I've read the other reviews, we haven't had "cord" heating troubles. Just warmth and with the osccilation, it isn't just blowing one direction, it's spreading the warmth all around.
