Comment: These were recommended by a senior mechanic where I work. It is a very good product that does exactly what it is designed to do. I plan to purchase more as finances permit. You just can't go wrong with the Vise Grip brand Locking C-Clamp.

Comment: These are the best plier locking type of clamps I've found. I tried the crescent ones, which wore out pretty quickly. The only problem I've ever had with these is getting weld slag on the clamp tips or screw threads. If the spring breaks, as it will tend to after several years of abuse, it's tricky to replace. I've gotten the replacement springs from my industrial hardware supplier, who probably found something similar and sells them as replacements. So, I'm sure they can be found at any good hardware store.

They sell several different versions of this same thing, smaller, longer arms, pivioting tips...

...I would like to find spring kits for my six pair I use all the time at my work I have not been able to find a dealer in Phoenix who carries the springs. Any help welcome.
