Mealtime can be messy, so some attention will need to be paid (usually by a grownup) to make sure Baby is clean, inside and out. Measuring 16 inches from the curls on her head to the tip of her tiny, individually molded toes, Baby Alive laughs, burps, hiccups, and interacts with phrases and songs. While her oversized features might unsettle grownups, Baby Alive captures the imagination of preschoolers from the moment she wrinkles her pretty, pert nose. Extra packs of accessories, diapers, and food (sold separately) further extend the nurturing play of the Baby Alive doll. Requires four AA batteries (included). --Heather Lyndon

Summary: Don't buy the Baby Alive Diapers too expensive.. there is a better option! 2010-01-24
Comment: My daughter received this doll for Christmas and she really enjoys it! I feel that the dipaers they sell for this doll are too expensive for what you are getting. I have priced them at 6 diapers for $5.98. My daughter actively plays with this doll and can go through a pack in 2 days. I found that Pampers preemie diapers fit her just fine and you get 31 diapers for $8.99!
Summary: Its ok 2009-08-09
Comment: I got this for my 7 year old sister and she loved it. But then tragedy happened. She gave the doll a bath. She had done it many times. But somehow, she got water in the speakers. It stopped working altogeter. I was stuck with a crying 7 year old. Oh and if you dont clean her mouth out REALLY good after every feeding, she grows mold. Thats right, mold. Its really gross.
Summary: Great doll use homemade food recipe to save money. 2009-01-13
Comment: This is a great doll for kids who really enjoy pretend play. It is probably the most realistic doll you can find short of the Reborn dolls. It eats and poops which is not that appealing to adults who have had to change real diapers but, kids love it. The only problems I have with it is having to pay for the disposable diapers, and the food. The solution I came up with was to make washable reusable diapers. It was easy because I have been sewing for years. For someone who does not sew you can find them on Ebay. For a great fake food recipe for the dolls you an go to http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1304022/substitute_food_for_baby_alive_dolls.html
This will save you tons of money and give the kids the freedom to enjoy the doll without having to conserve the food.
Summary: HER FACE PAINT WIPED OFF IN THE FIRST HOUR! 2009-01-03
Comment: My Daughter wanted this doll for her 7th birthday. She was so happy she took her out of the box ad gave her a bottle right away. There was water drops on her face and she gently wiped it dry and most of her face and eyebrows wiped off. The doll looked scary and my daughter was reduced to tears. I called and emailed Hasbro their reply was that was expected and they would send me something for the inconvenience. It was a $3 coupon I could use if I spent $5 dollars. My Father-in-law was an Engineer for matel, he said it should have not happen. Our Daughter will not play with the doll because she is scary looking. That was a big waist of money. Our doll might have been a defect, but they did not stand behind their toy.I have not bought anything from Hasbro since.
Summary: the doll my kid received 2008-12-20
Comment: well the service of receiving the doll from amazon was great, I know my daughter will love this doll, at three years old she says she prays to God that this will be her Christmas present, so I hope it lives up to its standards, I have played with the doll before I wrapped it up to put it under the tree, whislt she was at preschool, and to tell the truth I love the little baby doll, because back in my days the dolls were never like that, i just wish the stuff for the doll was a little cheaper, because after buying such an expensive product, you will hope that the little accessories would be lesser to purchase, knowing that it needs these stuff, to keep the doll fun, the makers or resalers should consider, us the parents that have to keep our kids happy, and able to buy the little things they like, for instance i live in Barbados, I bought the doll online from Amazon, had to find someone that lives in the us to post the stuff to. Then pay shipping to Barbados, which was a task and if i wanted more stuff for the doll, i'll have to go through the same ordeal, so those pricey accessories wow, really hurt me, mind you I also have a six year old son, and I cant buy for one and not the other, Barbados if you dont know is in the Caribbean four hours away from New York only, and the US dollar is two of our dollars to one US dollar so if those in the US think the stuff is expensive well I paid double. Please try to think about us when you guys price the stuff, i know its a rare type of doll but still you want it sold right, so lets work together, the cheaper the stuff, the more we parents will buy, other wise, well substitute, by making or buying cheaper stuff from other retailers of other doll makers, so Hasbro, try to solve our problem, because not everyone can afford and if all who can buy then when there's no one else that can afford to buy, then what, but if everyone can afford it then everyone will buy and you'll have a greater demand for the product, and lesser shelft time, and more demands means great sales, more manufacturing and a bigger business, hint hint, just think about it, but in the same breathe I love the toy.
