Summary: it ok 2008-09-13
Comment: for the price you can't cry to much they are fun but after you take 4 hits your tank is stopped and with ours sometimes it has to be turned off just to get going again. and on one of the tanks the track keeps coming off but we still play with them.and sometimes they just stop moving and you have to turn them on and off a couple of time.

Summary: A little slow in the video game age 2008-02-18
Comment: I bought this for my 13 year old. I originally was looking at the small remote control helicopters, but the reviews about them breaking on day 1 scared me off. I think these tanks are well built and will last. They just move a little slow. If you are out in the open, you have no chance of outrunning the other guys ability to turn his turret and nail you. So we both end up hiding behind the couch or table waiting for the other guy to move into the open and get killed. Maybe 8 to 10 year olds might enjoy it more.

Summary: Would be better with 4 tanks 2008-01-07
Comment: Purchased this for my cousin for Christmas. Seemed like it would be fun after reading the description and other reviews, and even found a very detailed review on another site. Unfortunately, because of the way the tanks are designed, it wasn't that much fun. It makes me wonder if the manufacturer play tested the set.
When a tank is shot, the tank is completely disabled and the tank cannot move at all for almost a minute. The player cannot control his tank, but it also cannot take another hit during this time. This however allows the second player (the one that did the shooting) to just sit there and wait for the tank to become enabled again and take a shot the moment it's ready. The first player doesn't get a chance to move away to avoid becoming a target again. This means that the first person to get a shot wins.
If you had 3 or 4 tanks (according to the package there is a second set of tanks that can be combined with this set, but it is so rare no-one has ever seen one available for purchase) then the player sitting waiting to take another shot would be a vulnerable target for the 3rd and 4th players. With only 2 tanks though the game isn't as much fun.

Summary: Tanks are good fun 2008-01-05
Comment: I bought this product for my 10 year old nephew. He was very excited and played with it most of the morning Christmas morning. The down side is that the toy is extremely loud and other people were unable to be in the same room he was when using the toy. As an adult, I found the toy fun, but a little difficult to maneuver. Overall it was a decent gift, but definately needs to be used outside.

Summary: Tanks a lot! 2008-01-02
Comment: My grandson (and Grampy) went wild over this toy. It kept their attention longer than any other gift. Works well on carpet or bare floors. The ejecting looser was a great touch!
