Product Description

It's 2 toys in 1! As a sturdy, stable walker, the Step Start Walk 'n Ride toy helps babies learn to stand, take their first steps, and walk. As the grow older, it easily converts to a first ride-on toy! It has a locking mechanism that only parents can activate, so children can't change modes by themselves. Kids can explore the hands-on activities in both the walker and ride-on modes to see fascinating sights, hear silly sounds and touch interesting textures. Adult assembly required
Editorial Review

When little wobblers are bored with walls and sofa edges, and there's no one to offer a hand, they can two-foot it safely across that open ocean of living-room floor with the help of the Step Start walker. This dual-purpose toy acts as stable support as they learn to walk, then lets them roll along when they want to ride. Once they are secure on their legs, the walker converts easily to a first ride-on toy. (Only adults can operate the wheel-lock mechanism.) A flexible antenna, spinning drum, clicking gear, and other sight-touch-sound features provide sit-down play fun. Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver. --Ava Natov

Summary: Flimsy 2008-08-31
Comment: My daughter seems to like this toy we just bought it today - it was fairly easy to put together though I did have to use a screw gun. The only problem is if my daughter's legs get any longer she won't be able to ride it - it fits her perfect right now (she is 9 months old) so obviously this toy won't be good for long, not worth the $20 or so that it costed. It's very light weight and tips easily.

Summary: Great concept - but my 10 month old doesn't know what to do! 2008-08-30
Comment: My daughter is 10 months old (was pre-mature and in ICU for a long while) and she doesn't know how to make it move. She likes to sit on it, but that is all she does. We have purchased a giraffe that she can ride and she knows how to move this one, it is just a little too tall so we bought the Playschool Walk 'n Ride too. Unfortunetly, she likes to play with the wheels and the other moveable pieces but doesn't like to move it while she is on it (and not quite walking)!

Summary: My 11 month old loves this toy! 2008-08-17
Comment: My son is now 12 months old and this toy has really assisted in helping him walk. He
doesn't know how to move it as a car yet but it's a toy that he can grow in to. Great toy!

Summary: Cheap plastic toy 2008-08-15
Comment: Over all, I got what I paid for, its a cheap plastic toy, my daughter likes one or two of the toys on it, it folds kinda weird. Not horrible but not great.

Summary: Not much of a walker... 2008-08-13
Comment: I bought this toy for our first son when he was beginning to walk. He never used it as a walker. He didn't like using it, plus it doesn't give any walking room, he would just hit his feet on it...not the best thing when they are trying to learn how to walk. On the other hand, it has been a great ride-on toy. My son is no 2.5 years old and he still loves his car.
