Summary: Excellent product for the price 2008-10-25
Comment: Love it. It fits my girls perfectly and we've been using it like mad. They love riding in it. My one complaint is that since the seat has no more support than the canvas it's made of, they slide together a lot. They don't seem to mind, so it's not too bad. Of course, I'm very pregnant right now, so it's kind of hard to get down and adjust the straps. It's great as a stroller as well, and very easy to switch back and forth.

Summary: Not as great as expected 2008-10-24
Comment: I don't have anything to compare ours to, but I'm not that thrilled with our trailer. It's very small for two children, the seat is like one giant sling so it's not comfortable, and the harness is a huge pain. I expected the harness to be a pain because of other reviews, but I expected the seat to be more comfortable and for two kids to fit pretty well. Because it's like one giant sling, keeping two children in place comfortably is very hard. I would not buy again.

Summary: Great trailer for the money, lots of storage space. 2008-09-04
Comment: We've used this trailer quite a bit over the summer. My son loves it and seem comfortable in it. He is 25lbs and 18 months old and has a ton of room in the seating area for toys and books. There are also two elastic pockets on the inside for his sippy cups and some snacks.

The storage in the back area is awesome. Probably enough space back there to hold three grocery bags. Which on occasion we have had back there.

Hooking it to the bike was super easy, as was assembly. We've never used it as a walking stroller.

My only complaints are:
- The pole for the flag broke off the first time we had it out. Now we don't have the flag on there.
- The velcro closure that holds down the netting in the front is a tight fit.

Other than the above this was a great purchase. We've been very happy with it.

Summary: Mark C 2008-07-18
Comment: We really like this trailer! Assembly was straight-forward, it opens up and folds down quickly, and our son seems to enjoy cruising around in it. I was a little skeptical when I ordered it, but it has turned out to fit our needs well.

The pros: economical, opening up and attaching to my bike or breaking it down takes about 3 minutes (I store mine folded down), our son loves it (he climbs aboard before I'm even finished setting it up and attaching it to my bike), its light weight (if you're in decent shape, you won't notice it behind you much on hills; I'm definitely not the model of athleticism), and plenty of storage space for all of the "toddler logistical support" when heading to the park or beach.

Some cons: I have to use a rubber mallet if I want to get the wheels on and off, its soft-bottomed so you really only get about 3-4 inches of clearance between your child's feet and the ground, there isn't any padding on the restraint straps, and if you're riding around noon, your child is sitting in full sun (it would be nice if there was a canvas flap up there to provide shade).

If you plan on using your trailer riding fire-break trails or any other off-road trail riding, do your kid a favor and get one of the high end models like Chariot of Burley. This trailer doesn't have the clearance, suspension, or restraint system for off-road use. If you're mainly using it on paved surfaces, it's a great option to the $500 + models out there.

Summary: Works as a dog trailer, and a grocery hauler too! 2008-06-11
Comment: I bought this trailer to tote around my dog, who is about 40 lbs. It was by far cheaper than the Burleys I saw elsewhere, but a side-by-side comparison with a coworker's didn't reveal any obvious differences that would account for the prices.

To make it work for my pooch, I had to add a floor (corrugated plastic) with a cushion, held on by zip ties to the frame. I just connect the leash to one of the straps inside to keep him from running off, but that hasn't been an issue because he loves riding in it. And everyone we pass gets a kick out of seeing him in there!

The trailer folds up very compactly. It fits into a compact car trunk well. I ended up using the little attachment strap for the stroller to hold the whole thing closed when folded up, since if you don't carry it right it can unfold on you.

The best part about the trailer is that it has tons of room in the back for stuff. I use it around town to carry groceries and things. You wouldn't believe how much you can tote in this thing, and you hardly notice it.

One issue, and the reason I took off a star: the mounting hardware did not fit on my bicycle since my bike (a Giant OCR1, 2005ish) had a very narrow area near the dropout. This is pretty unusual--my bike is more of a sports/low-end racing bike, not a neighborhood commuter. I contacted InStep about this and never heard back from them. So what I did was to make a little adapter block out of aluminum and buy a Bob tandem skewer from REI. Not a problem for me, since I'm a mechanical engineer with access to a machine shop, but it might be a deal-killer for other people.
