Summary: pricey but great play value 2008-10-17
Comment: I bought the 62 piece set last Christmas for my then 3 year old, and it was an instant hit with him, his 6 year old brother, and their 10 year old sister. This is a toy that they pull out often, and when it's out, they'll play with it for a long time building all sorts of shapes. I would highly recommend the largest set, as it comes with pentagons as well as squares and triangles and there are a lot more possibilities. It's more expensive than some of the other magnetic toys, but safer if you have little ones in your home because the magnets are enclosed.

Summary: Literally HOURS of fun 2008-10-09
Comment: My kids (ages 6 and almost 4) LOVE these, and they have loved them since we bought them over a year ago. We have had one break, though, when the kids were smashing their towers down. With usual play, though, they are quite durable. You'll be amazed at what your kids come up with. I highly recommend this set over the ones without pentagons--the pentagons add a new level of cool to their creations.

Comment: I am HS math teacher. I would recommend this product for all children above 3years. I have adults who sit and play with these magformers.

Summary: Love It! 2008-07-10
Comment: My daughter got this set from her grandparents for christmas, who also got a set for their other three grandkids. The kids love this! My daughter has played with these for longer than any toy she's ever had! The only problem we had was that she didn't get a large enough set, she got the 30 piece set and you can't make some of the bigger designs with it. The set comes with instructions to build things like a ball and a ferris wheel. I am finally getting my daughter another set, I actually bought two sets because my husband wants to play with them too!

Summary: Magformers 2008-06-21
Comment: My kids love this toy. I bought four of these sets together and they were sent in the original factory packed box (apparently the factory packs four sets to a carton). Problem is that the vendor charged full shipping on all four sets. This seems a little unfair due to the fact that there was no extra packaging that needed to be done.
