Summary: great puzzle 2008-09-11
Comment: Great puzzle! Stands up to my rough and tumble eighteen month old. She love to make the sounds of the animals as she plays with them! Would recommend!

Summary: Great toy for toddler 2008-08-24
Comment: I bought this toy for my son when he was less than a year old. Every day we play this toy at least one time. He learned all the animal names on the board and the sounds they make. Now that he is 18 months old, he is able to put the puzzle together himself. I would hand him each animal and say the name, he repeats after me and then he would put the puzzle together. He doesn't have long attention span. So, he would only do one game. We do this every day. He loves it and I love it too. The knobs are big and easy for their little hands to handle. And it's quite sturdy.

Summary: Great puzzle for little hands 2008-07-30
Comment: We love the Melissa and Doug Large Knob puzzles. They are very easy for a one year old to play with. She loved this puzzle as soon as we look it out of the box. The fun thing about this puzzle is we can talk about animals while she is also working on fine motor skills. If you have found other puzzles hard for your child - try one of the large knob puzzles. They are great starter puzzles and much less frustrating for little hands.

Summary: Puzzle is not solid wood 2008-07-02
Comment: The description of this puzzle says, "solid wood" It's not! It's 2 layers of composite board glued to plywood. The fibers easily scrape off along the edges and can be ingested by your child. The pictures are a laminate overlay that can easily be peeled off. Not a great puzzle if you child is still putting toys in his or her mouth.
