The Thomas Wooden Railway System is designed to grow along with kids' increasing skills, offering years of enjoyable play and new adventures around each and every bend. Thomas and his friends bring personality and fun to wooden train play. All aboard for adventure on the Island of Sodor! Good-hearted Harold brings welcome but noisy visits to the quiet Sodor landscape. For use with Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway System sets (sold separately). Editorial Review
Kindhearted but noisy, Harold the Helicopter likes to drop in on the Island of Sodor to visit his railway friends. This 4-inch sturdy wood helicopter is white with a sleek red racing stripe above his name. With a rotating propeller and plastic landing pontoons, Harold is ready for action. Based on the popular Thomas the Tank Engine series by Reverend W. Awdry and the PBS television show Shining Time Station, this flying fellow is part of the much-loved wooden railway system, which is compatible with other magnetic train sets. You can reenact all the exciting stories in the series or make up new ones. Thomas fans won't want to miss out on any of these fun, well-built railway characters. --Emilie Coulter

Summary: Good toy, but not great 2006-05-30
Comment: My son likes the helicopter, but not as much as he likes his trains. My one complaint with the helicopter is that the magnet on the back doesn't line up with one's on the trains, so my son can't connect them together.

Summary: overpiced on amazon 2006-02-27
Comment: My son loves all the Thomas and Friends toys and we have been collecting them, but I have found them much cheaper at local stores like Target than on this website.

Summary: happy with harold 2006-02-25
Comment: I was very pleased with Harold the Helicopter. These are very durable toys. They are worth the money you pay for them.

Summary: Harold the Helicopter 2006-02-23
Comment: My son has loved Harold the Helicopter since he used to pronounce the word "hoptidopter". Now that he can pronounce it correctly he doesn't love him any less. While any child will need this piece (who else will carry the mail around Sodor?), be wary of the fact that while the body is wood, Harold's rotor is plastic and can break.

Summary: A must have for real Thomas fans 2005-10-14
Comment: My son loves this one too. Uses it in the air, on the ground and all around!! Another sturdy piece, we've had this for 3 yrs!
