Summary: bought it for my son, loved by all 2008-02-13
Comment: I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old son. He loved playing with it and he loved having us watch him play it. He took it to our family get together and my neice and nephew who are 4 and 7 also loved it. They would take turns playing the games and argue over who got to play with it next. I also have a daycare and the children all love taking turns with it. It is a little advanced for my 2 year olds with some of the games however, we seem to be able to find something for everyone. This was a good buy!

Summary: Good Toy Look a-like Mom & Dad's 2008-01-12
Comment: We bought this for our 2 years old. While she is too young for the reccomended age we wanted her to have a laptop to play like Mommy and Daddy and she does - she sits and messes with it. It has 30 games and right/left click buttons on the mouse so whatever she pushes makes a beep or something, mostly she messes with the volume and watched the monkey on the screen. When she is older she will get the intended use out of it but for now its as usefull as the fake cell phone, blackberry, keys and other kid PDA's.

Summary: Small screen V-tech notebook 2008-01-12
Comment: Screen size too discouraging. My 6 year old was so exited to have a toy computer. His first complaint was I hardly see what I'm doing. Does not realy like playing with it.

Summary: Purchased as a gift but then got their own... 2008-01-07
Comment: We purchased this as a gift for a friend's 4 1/2 yr old son. A few weeks later, our children had the opportunity to use it at his house and they LOVED it. In fact, they had so much fun with the different games on it that they decided to buy one with their Christmas money. My 4 1/2 yr old son and 2 1/2 yr old daughter each can use it on their own and there are games for each of them that are developmentally appropriate. Re: its durability, the VTech notebook even stands up to my one year old's preoccupation with throwing it on the floor :-).
