Summary: Save your money!!! Actually rate less than 1 Star 2008-07-25
Comment: Save your money...I bought one and with 2nd use it stopped working and wires became exposed. Put electrical tape on unit with help of my husband and still didn't work. JUNK!

Summary: Better off with a universal adapter 2008-05-18
Comment: We bought the V-Smile adapter for the 2 v-smile products that we have and were quite let down by it's quality. The first one quit working after a few days and we exchanged it for a new one only to have IT stop working after 2 weeks. I might add that it was well taken care of and never handled by our children. The third time around we bought a Coby CA-969 300ma Universal Adaptor (at a much nicer price of $3.00 @ Amazon) and have been really happy with it. We also use it for other things as it is Universal and comes with a bunch of adaptors. Bottom line: Save your $10.00 and go for a cheaper universal adaptor.

Summary: Working perfect, perhaps bugs have been fixed? 2008-05-02
Comment: I read several older reviews that stated that the adapters quit working after some time. I ordered this 6 months ago and we have had no problems with it. Perhaps they have found what might have been causing them to stop working and fixed it?
I think it's definitely worth getting rather then paying for batteries. But I agree with others that it really should be included with the game system. I suppose they are doing the same thing computer printer companies do, by making people purchase the basic USB cord separate, so you can even plug it in to your computer.

Summary: It's a scam to not include the adapter 2008-01-21
Comment: So, I 've purchased what I believe is a fine toy for my child, and now I have to spend over 50% of the toy's purchase price to power the thing? For a $5-10 item? My letter is in the mail to the product manufacturer, along with the toy. This is a scam perpetrated by many kid's toy makers, and I will no longer support it as an acceptable business practice.

Comment: The product is fine but I was disappointed that it wasn't included with the V-Smile kit I ordered, since I would eventually have to have it to operate the system.
